Job Description

Assist Services has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Generalist. This position will provide personal growth and the ability to develop your skills in the traffic, construction, and oil & gas industry.
Requirements/Experience:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a Human Resources role is preferred.
  • It is beneficial for applicants to have knowledge of the oil & gas industry and/or transportation sector.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's or master's degree preferred
  • Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to management and employees
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to be empathetic and flexible
  • Computer/Social Media skills required, experience with writing and posting on multiple job boards
  • Ability to work in a fast paced culture while remaining focused and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task, plan work activities proactively, and complete daily tasks or meet deadlines under pressure
  • Must have a valid Drivers License with clean driving record (NO DUI's or excessive points).
  • All candidates must be able to pass a standard criminal background check and work verification check as well as a standard drug screen and fit for duty physical.
Daily Job Duties to
Include:
  • Work with HR Coordinator(s) to project hiring needs and create plan and hiring event/onboarding schedule to meet the needs of the operation.
  • Participate in and/or lead team meetings with various departments/divisions within the company.
  • Supports HR Coordinators with recruiting and onboarding entry level positions as needed
  • Support supervisors and managers with coaching, counseling and disciplinary actions; initiating and conducting investigations when needed.
  • Administer and track leaves of absences
  • Create job descriptions and manage job postings and the recruitment of mid-senior level administrative and management positions while working with Human Resources Manager and relevant department heads to understand the needs for positions and for final hiring decisions.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Track and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics to leadership
  • Manage HRIS system (iSolved)
  • Supports annual reporting needs, ACA, EEO, etc.
  • Unemployment claims management: handle all aspects of unemployment claims, including providing responses and documentation, filing appeals, and representing the company in hearings and appeals.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
  • Manage the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and/or notice of change in status to insurance carriers or insurance brokers. Also lead and administer open enrollment annually with support from HR Coordinators.
  • Assists HR Manager and leadership with various research projects and/or special projects

Pay:
$65,000.00 - $78,500.00 per year
