Job Description

Company Overview Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc. is a family-owned company dedicated to producing the highest quality kosher chicken and turkey products while maintaining strict animal welfare standards. With a legacy dating back to 1938, we pride ourselves on vertical integration and supporting family farms across rural Pennsylvania. Overview A Human Resources Generalist at TableTrust brands encompasses a variety of tasks related to employee data, reporting, pay and benefits. The core focus in this generalist role will be to support the corporate HR Team in a range of tasks from basic administrative duties to more complex problem-solving duties. The generalist will be the bridge between the site-specific HR offices to the corporate offices ensuring data flows is accurate and timely. The generalist will need to possess strong verbal and written skills and have a background in corporate pay and benefits structures. As well as strong understanding of HR processes, best practices and HRIS systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Leave of absence: Manage ADA, STD, LTD and FMLA requests, and monitor timely returns for Union and Non-union.
Compliance:
Assist with ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Compensation and Benefits:
Thorough understanding of benefits and pay structures and facilitation of such.
Data Management:
Maintaining accurate and confidential HR records and documentation, as well as assigning appropriate access in the HRIS system.
Reporting and Audits:
create and manage many standard reports, as well as pull data from the HRIS system upon request during health and welfare audits, 401K audits as well as annual insurance and finance audits.
Payroll:
Addressing employee payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies, as well as providing backup support to the payroll administrator.
Employee Relations:
provide backup support to site specific HR Managers, thorough understanding of in-house policies and practices and experience in a union environment.
Other HR-Related Tasks:
Handling various other HR-related duties as they arise.
HRIS System :
Learn and manage the many modules of the HRIS system and as the system SME, offer resolutions to concerns and issues of the end users and practitioners. As well as management and lead of any system or module implementations.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, managers, and other stakeholders. HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of employees and management.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze situations, identify problems, and develop solutions is crucial.
  • HR generalists must be organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information with the upmost confidentiality.
  • 3 years proven payroll responsibilities in a company size of 100+ ees.
  • 3 years proven benefits administration in a company size of 100+ ees.
  • 3 years proven 401K administration a plus.
  • 3 years proven HR experience a plus.
