If so, Neel-Schaffer wants you to join our team as the Talent Development Manager. Neel-Schaffer, an ENR Top 200 Engineering Design firm, is seeking a Talent Development Manager to lead the programs, systems, and learning experiences that strengthen employee capabilities and technical excellence across our nine-state footprint. This position may be based in one of our larger offices, including Jackson, MS, Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN; Birmingham, AL, or Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will bring eight or more years of progressive experience leading complex learning or organizational development initiatives, coordinating technical training or continuing education programs, and administering a Learning Management System. Success in this role requires strong project management, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization. What You'll Do The Talent Development Manager will lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of professional, technical, and talent development programs across engineering, planning, environmental, technology, and corporate support disciplines. This role will manage firmwide learning systems and resources, support organizational knowledge sharing, and ensure development initiatives align with business needs and organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities Professional and Technical Development:

Lead and coordinate professional and technical development programs across the firm. Partner with technical leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs, develop effective solutions, manage training logistics and resources, maintain continuing education records, and evaluate program effectiveness.

Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning:

Partner with technical leaders and subject matter experts to identify, capture, and share critical institutional knowledge. Convert that knowledge into scalable resources such as online courses, job aids, videos, guides, templates, best practices, case studies, and other performance-support tools.

Talent Development Programs:

Manage the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of firmwide talent development programs, including onboarding, career development, mentoring, coaching, and capability-building initiatives. Develop learning resources, facilitator materials, participant guides, and toolkits that support employees throughout their careers.

Learning Management System Administration:

Serve as the primary administrator and internal point of contact for the firm's Learning Management System. Manage course catalogs, curricula, learning paths, certifications, enrollments, assignments, user access, learning records, completion requirements, and automated communications. Develop reports and dashboards that provide meaningful learning information to leaders and other stakeholders.

Project Management:

Lead multiple Talent Development projects from planning through implementation. Develop project plans, schedules, communication strategies, timelines, roles, budgets, and deliverables; monitor milestones, risks, dependencies, and decisions; and ensure projects are completed on schedule and aligned with organizational priorities. Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Communications, Engineering Technology, or a related field; master's degree preferred.

Eight to 12 years of progressively responsible experience in Talent Development, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related discipline.

Experience leading complex learning, training, or organizational development projects.

Experience coordinating technical training, professional development, or continuing education programs.

Experience administering a Learning Management System.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, deadlines, and deliverables.

Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and follow through with limited supervision.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn new technologies and business systems.

Professional certification such as CPTD, APTD, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, PMP, or a comparable credential preferred.

Experience in engineering, architecture, construction, consulting, or another professional-services organization preferred.
