Senior HR Generalist Lynden Door | Lynden, WA Lynden Door has an immediate opening for a Senior HR Generalist based in Lynden, WA.
Role:
The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be joining a committed HR team with genuine care for the people we serve, and the success of the business. Working closely with our HR Manager and leadership, you'll help build and reinforce a workplace that's caring, efficient, and family-friendly — supporting employees through policy, compliance, benefits, and everyday problem-solving. This is a key trusted and empowered role, with the flexibility to support a healthy pursuit of work accomplishments and family commitments (typical office hours 8:30 AM-5:30 PM, with some flexibility). Responsibilites Partner with HR Manager and leadership to prioritize and execute initiatives that build a cohesive, caring workplace. Research and apply employment law to maintain and apply compliant policy, with written analysis and risk recommendations. Help maintain the employee guidebook and coordinate HR communications with staff. Provide day-to-day direction to HR Generalist, HR Specialist, and Administrative Assistant team members. Educate employees on company policies and build and deliver training for supervisors and managers in partnership with Employee Development team. Serve as a trusted HR business partner — fielding inquiries, concerns, and complaints with consistency and fairness. Collaborate across departments to strengthen communication and HRIS systems. Qualifications and Experience Proven HR or leadership experience, with solid knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Spanish-speaking preferred (not required). Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills MS Office proficiency; HRIS experience (e.g., ADP) a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills — tact, professionalism, and diplomacy with sensitive situations Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field, or 4+ years of HR experience. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred, or willingness to pursue Compensation and Benefits Salary 65 - 95k DOE Several comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefit plan options including Traditional PPO, and Health Savings Account contributions for applicable plans from $500-$1500 annually. 2-3 weeks vacation and 8 paid holidays. (k) access at 90 days with many different fund investment options, including profit-share eligibility after 1 calendar year of service. Schedule Monday-Friday on-site typically 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, on-site. Home office work supported when sick and to accommodate around medical appointments. Emergency on-call and unscheduled work will infrequently but perioidically be needed, as well as limited weekend on-call work when our manufacturing plant is operating Saturdays and for company events.
