About the Role Samkee America is seeking an experienced and dedicated Die Casting Process Technician to join our manufacturing facility in Tuskegee, Alabama. In this role, you will oversee and operate high-pressure aluminum die casting processes, support mold maintenance, and drive continuous improvement to ensure top-tier automotive part quality and operational safety.

Key Responsibilities Die Casting Process Operation:

Operate, monitor, and optimize aluminum high-pressure die casting machines and peripheral automated equipment.

Tooling & Mold Support:

Support the setup, assembly, disassembly, and preventive maintenance of casting molds and dies.

Quality Inspection:

Perform visual, dimensional, and surface defect inspections on cast components to ensure compliance with strict automotive quality standards.

Process Improvement:

Actively identify root causes of casting defects (porosity, shrinkage, flash) and implement corrective actions to minimize scrap rates and enhance cycle times.

Safety & Maintenance:

Comply with plant safety regulations (OSHA/PPE), maintain equipment cleanliness (5S), and conduct routine operational checks.

Qualifications Experience:

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in die casting (aluminum die casting preferred) or high-pressure casting operations.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong technical understanding of aluminum melting, casting parameters, mold behavior, and thermal control.

Work Authorization:

Must be authorized to work in the United States without legal restrictions.

Problem-Solving:

Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment alarms and casting defects on the production floor. Preferred Qualifications Experience in tier-1 automotive parts manufacturing environments. Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is highly preferred to facilitate cross-functional communication. Relevant technical certifications or vocational licenses in casting, molding, or industrial mechanics. Experience with automated die-casting cells (die sprayers, ladlers, extractors).

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
