Job Description

Title 1 Part C, Education of Migratory Students

Be on a team that supports the identification, recruitment, and academic success of eligible

migratory children and youth (ages 3-21) by connecting home, school, and community

resources.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Identify and recruit eligible migratory students and youth within the service area, including
    conducting eligibility interviews and completing required documentation
  • Build relationships with migratory families through visits to homes, worksites, and community
    locations to ensure access to services and support.
  • Provide instructional support in reading, GED preparation, life skills, and early childhood
    development to promote kindergarten readiness and high school competition. This support is
    provided at local schools and in the homes of the migratory families.
  • Foster parent and family engagement by sharing program information and encouraging
    participation in school events and advisory meetings.
  • Serve as a liaison between families, schools, and the Title 1 Part C program, including
    translating and interpreting as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential student and family records and ensure compliance with all state
    and federal program regulations.
  • Collaborate with program staff and participate in required training to stay current on best
    practices and policies.
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating supplemental programs, including summer
    and in-home services.
