What We Value ① One Team ② Service Heart ③ Accountability ④ GRIT ⑤ Innovation The Opportunity The Recruiter reports directly to the HR Manager and works closely alongside our Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the continued growth of Lucia Landscaping and our affiliated companies by identifying, attracting, and hiring talented individuals who align with our culture, values, and business needs. This is a full-time, salaried position based onsite at Lucia Landscaping's office in Roseville, Michigan. The Recruiter will provide additional recruiting capacity to support our growing organization and will assist with executing recruiting strategies established in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Manager. The Recruiter may independently manage assigned positions through the full recruiting cycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, offer coordination, accepted offer, and applicable pre-employment requirements. While the Recruiter will take ownership of assigned positions and candidates, they will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Manager on overall recruiting priorities, strategies, staffing needs, and hiring objectives. The Recruiter will work directly with hiring managers to understand position requirements, ideal candidate profiles, hiring urgency, staffing priorities, and recruiting challenges. Regular communication and collaboration with hiring managers, the Talent Acquisition Specialist, and HR Manager will be essential to maintaining strong candidate pipelines and filling positions with qualified candidates in a timely manner. The position will recruit for a wide variety of roles across the organization, including landscaping and snow operations, skilled trades, sales, office and administrative positions, and professional and leadership roles. Success in this position requires someone who is highly organized, responsive, proactive, comfortable communicating with a wide variety of candidates and hiring managers, and able to manage multiple openings and priorities simultaneously while providing a positive candidate experience. Your Day to Day Recruiting & Candidate Sourcing Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions from candidate sourcing through accepted offer and completion of applicable pre-employment requirements, while working closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Manager on recruiting priorities, strategies, and hiring needs. Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist, HR Manager, and hiring managers to understand current and upcoming staffing needs. Develop and maintain job postings that accurately communicate position responsibilities, qualifications, compensation, and company culture. Post and maintain open positions across appropriate recruiting platforms and sourcing channels. Proactively source qualified candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn, resume databases, referrals, networking, social media, community partnerships, and other recruiting resources. Build and maintain candidate pipelines for high-volume, difficult-to-fill, seasonal, and frequently recruited positions. Identify and evaluate new recruiting sources and strategies based on organizational hiring needs. Conduct outreach to prospective candidates and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the recruiting process. Support seasonal and high-volume recruiting initiatives, including landscaping and snow operations. Assist with recruiting events, job fairs, career fairs, and other community recruiting opportunities as needed. Develop relationships with schools, trade programs, workforce organizations, community groups, and other potential recruiting partners. Communicate regularly with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Manager regarding candidate activity, pipeline status, hiring progress, scheduling needs, and recruiting challenges. Candidate Screening & Interview Coordination Review applications and resumes to identify candidates who meet position requirements. Conduct initial phone screens and candidate interviews to evaluate experience, qualifications, availability, compensation expectations, and overall fit. Evaluate candidates against established position requirements and ideal candidate profiles. Provide qualified candidate information and recommendations to the appropriate hiring manager. Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Prepare hiring managers with relevant candidate information prior to interviews. Maintain timely and consistent communication with candidates throughout the interview and selection process. Follow up with hiring managers following interviews to obtain feedback and determine next steps. Communicate next steps or disposition decisions to candidates in a professional and timely manner. Maintain a positive and professional candidate experience regardless of the final hiring decision. Hiring Manager Partnership Develop strong working relationships with hiring managers and department leadership. Work directly with hiring managers to understand position requirements, ideal candidate profiles, department needs, hiring urgency, preferred qualifications, and staffing priorities. Maintain communication with managers regarding candidate pipelines, interview activity, and hiring progress. Identify recruiting challenges and work with the hiring manager, Talent Acquisition Specialist, and HR Manager to determine appropriate adjustments to sourcing or recruiting strategies. Provide recruiting updates and communicate candidate-market conditions that may affect the hiring process. Help establish realistic expectations regarding candidate availability, compensation, recruiting timelines, and other hiring considerations. Follow up with hiring managers throughout the recruiting process to keep searches moving and ensure candidates receive timely communication. Offer Coordination Coordinate with the HR Manager, Talent Acquisition Specialist, and hiring manager when preparing employment offers. Support the preparation and distribution of offer letters and other pre-employment documents as assigned. Communicate employment offers to selected candidates as appropriate. Answer candidate questions regarding the offer and coordinate additional communication with HR or the hiring manager when needed. Maintain appropriate and timely follow-up with candidates through acceptance or decline. Maintain communication with selected candidates between offer acceptance and their scheduled start date. Notify appropriate internal team members once candidates have accepted offers and are ready to move into the pre-employment and onboarding process. Pre-Employment & Onboarding Coordination Coordinate required pre-employment steps for selected candidates. Send background-screening authorizations and initiate required background checks. Coordinate motor vehicle record checks when required for the position. Track completion of required pre-employment documentation and screening. Communicate with candidates regarding outstanding requirements and next steps. Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Manager to ensure selected candidates successfully transition from recruiting into the onboarding process. Help ensure hiring managers and appropriate departments are aware of upcoming new hires and start dates. Maintain communication with candidates leading up to their start date to help support a positive transition into the organization. Recruiting Administration, Compliance & Tracking Maintain accurate and current candidate information throughout the recruiting process. Track applicants, candidate pipelines, interviews, offers, accepted and declined offers, start dates, and other recruiting activity. Ensure candidate statuses are updated appropriately within recruiting systems. Maintain organized and accurate recruiting records and documentation. Monitor open positions and recruiting progress to identify positions requiring additional attention or sourcing. Protect the confidentiality of candidate, employee, and company information. Follow applicable employment laws, company policies, and established recruiting and HR practices related to candidate records, interviewing, candidate selection, hiring, and confidentiality. Maintain appropriate recruiting documentation and records in accordance with established company practices. Assist with recruiting reports and other administrative responsibilities as needed. Recruiting Metrics & Continuous Improvement The Recruiter will help track and evaluate recruiting activity to measure hiring effectiveness, identify recruiting challenges, and determine opportunities to improve the overall recruiting process.

The Recruiter will also be expected to identify opportunities to continuously improve: Recruiting processes and workflows Candidate experience Candidate communication and follow-up Sourcing strategies Job postings Recruiting tools and technology Candidate tracking and reporting Hiring manager communication Recruiting efficiency and overall hiring effectiveness As the organization continues to grow, the Recruiter should be willing to evaluate new approaches, technologies, resources, and recruiting strategies that can help Lucia and our affiliated companies attract and hire strong candidates. Schedule & Availability This is a full-time position with a primary Monday-Friday schedule. However, work outside of normal business hours may be required based on the needs of the business, including recruiting events, candidate communication, interviews, high-volume hiring periods, and other staffing needs. Due to the seasonal nature of our operations, additional availability may also be required before, during, and following snow events to support snow recruiting, staffing needs, employee communication, and other recruiting-related responsibilities. The Recruiter must be able to adjust priorities and availability when necessary to support changing business and staffing needs. Travel Limited local travel may be required as part of the position.

Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple open positions and candidates simultaneously. Ability to take ownership of assigned openings and consistently follow through throughout the recruiting process. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate recruiting records. Comfortable conducting phone screens and candidate interviews. Ability to evaluate candidate experience and qualifications against position requirements. Strong follow-up skills and sense of urgency. Ability to build productive relationships with hiring managers and understand department-specific hiring needs. Ability to communicate professionally with candidates throughout all stages of the recruiting process. Comfortable proactively sourcing and contacting prospective candidates. Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist, HR Manager, hiring managers, and other members of the organization. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Strong computer skills and ability to learn and effectively use recruiting, HR, and business systems. Ability to adapt to changing recruiting priorities and business needs. Ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with HR, managers, and employees throughout the organization. Preferred, But Not Required Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. Previous recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, human resources, or related experience. Experience managing full-cycle recruiting. Experience using Indeed, LinkedIn, applicant tracking systems, or other recruiting platforms and sourcing tools. Experience recruiting for landscaping, construction, skilled trades, field service, sales, or similar industries. Experience with high-volume or seasonal recruiting. Experience developing candidate sourcing strategies and pipelines. Familiarity with employment-related compliance and recruiting best practices. Candidates with strong communication, relationship-building, sales, customer service, or other transferable experience who demonstrate the ability to develop into the recruiting responsibilities of the position may also be considered.
