Job Description

Hiring Department The Graduate School supports institutional planning through data-informed enrollment strategies and forecasting. Recruitment pathways and outreach activities span the student lifecycle. Positions involve enrollment analysis, recruitment coordination, and support for planning activities. Job Description Missouri University of Science and Technology is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Student Recruitment Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct outreach to prospective online students, encouraging them to apply and enroll. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for education, and the ability to connect with individuals seeking online learning opportunities. This role will report to the Associated Director for Online Admissions and is located within The Graduate School. This is an on-campus position and requires up to 25% travel. The Graduate School is newly established effective August 1, 2026, marking a significant moment of transformation for graduate and postdoctoral education at Missouri S&T. As the office builds toward this new, centralized focus, structures and processes across the division will continue to evolve to best serve graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and the broader academic community. This position is essential to maintaining consistent service and support for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars throughout this transition.
Key Responsibilities:
Outreach and Engagement:
Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from prospective students and applicants via email, chat, and phone. Build and maintain positive relationships with potential students to address their questions and concerns. Provide accurate and detailed information about programs and admission requirements. Effectively communicate the benefits and advantages of choosing our university for online education. Assist in managing the university's CRM system to track and follow up on inquiries to enrolled students. Manage effectiveness of communication plans and scheduled campaigns with team.
Customer Service:
Deliver outstanding customer service to prospective students throughout the enrollment process. Address concerns and provide guidance on the application process, financial aid, and other related matters. Collaborate with academic advisors and other departments to ensure a seamless experience for prospective students.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of interactions with prospective students in the university's CRM system. Generate reports and analyses to track outreach effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Events and Outreach:
Participate in site-based and virtual events, webinars, and online fairs to promote the university and engage with potential students. Collaborate with recruitment teams to organize and execute online information sessions and outreach activities. Other Duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications Experience in CRM systems and other relevant software Experience in recruitment, admissions, customer service, or student support Experience with Microsoft office suite of products (powerpoint, excel, word, Teams) Anticipated Hiring Range The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $19.25-$21.42 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
