Knoxville, TN Job Details Full-time $58,000 - $60,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Student supervision Monitoring employment counseling client progress Staff supervision Program management Team supervision Social service program staff supervision Experience working with individuals with trauma-related disorders Managing education teams Cognitive-behavioral framework School staff supervision Full Job Description The Director of Guest Development oversees all aspects of vocational development, ensuring effective implementation of trauma-informed curriculum, consistent programming, and job development aligned with participant goals.
Responsibilities:
Build relationships with participants that reflect Christ-centered leadership and model a healthy Christian life. Oversee all aspects of LaunchPoint and KARMWorks programming, including staff supervision, curriculum delivery, and daily operations. Integrate life skills, CBT-informed practices, and trauma-informed approaches into educational and vocational training. Evaluate student readiness and coordinate project-based learning in construction and other vocational areas. Coordinate and ensure safe, high-quality instruction in construction and other vocational skills through classroom and project-based learning. Develop recruitment strategies, manage budgets, and track program performance for continuous improvement. Foster external partnerships with employers, educators, and community organizations to enhance training, mentorship, and job placement opportunities. Support graduates through job readiness coaching, interview preparation, and follow-up to ensure employment success. Schedule career-related workshops, job fairs, guest speakers, and site visits that support program goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Potential high-risk environment at KARM-maintained property. Daily interaction with individuals managing mental health, medical, or addiction-related issues. Some local travel may be required for meetings, outreach, or supervision. Occasional attendance at KARM special events, including weekends or evenings.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in leadership, workforce development, life coaching, construction trades, or adult education preferred. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially with individuals overcoming trauma or addiction. Familiarity with CBT tools, recovery principles, and trauma-informed care practices. Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and volunteers effectively. Organizational and administrative strength in managing multi-faceted programs. Experience in goal setting, tracking outcomes, and supporting participant progress. Commitment to KARM's Christian mission and values. Ability to set and maintain healthy boundaries while developing trusting relationships.
