Job Description

The Arlington United Director of Player Development will report to the Director of Baseball Operations (DBO) and serve as a key member of the organization's leadership team. The role will combine player development, program management and baseball operations, with the exact portfolio shaped around the experience and strengths of the person we hire. We are looking for someone with strong baseball knowledge who is interested not only in coaching and developing players, but also in helping operate and build a growing community-based baseball organization. Key Responsibilities Report to and partner with the DBO to help manage Arlington United's baseball programs. Lead the development of age-appropriate player priorities and standards across United teams. Help build, implement, and standardize United's longer-term "One Player. One Plan." approach to player assessment, feedback and development. Work with coaches to create consistent player-development and feedback processes. Design, coordinate and manage specialized development programs, including Winter Clinics as well as pitching programs. Support the recruitment and development of coaches and other instructors. Help support players interested in continuing into high school and college baseball. Evaluate technology tools that can improve player development and reduce administrative burden. Take on additional baseball operations in coordination with the DBO as the organization continues to grow. Preferred Experience Meaningful baseball coaching, player-development or baseball operations experience. Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience administering a youth, high school, college, travel or other baseball program strongly preferred. Interest in helping build systems and run an organization. What We're Really Looking For We are looking for talented baseball people excited by what Arlington United is building and want an opportunity to help run and shape a growing organization in partnership with the Director of Baseball Operations. The right person does not need to arrive with experience doing every part of the job. Baseball credibility, organizational ability, initiative and an interest in helping build the program are more important.
