Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant team as a Youth Development Professional and become a vital catalyst in empowering young minds! In this dynamic role, you will inspire, guide, and support children and youth through engaging activities, educational programs, and positive mentorship. Your energy and dedication will help foster a safe, inclusive environment where young people can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Duties Plan, organize, and facilitate youth group activities that promote personal growth, teamwork, and leadership skills Supervise children and adolescents during program activities, ensuring safety and positive behavior management Implement classroom management strategies to create an inclusive and respectful environment for all participants Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols to ensure safety during emergencies Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed Lead outdoor work experiences such as camp activities, nature walks, or team-building exercises to encourage outdoor learning Collaborate with team members to develop engaging curricula that incorporate childhood development Promote and stimulate program particpation Experience Prior experience working with children or youth in educational, childcare, camp, or recreational settings Demonstrated knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols (required) Experience facilitating youth programs or group activities that promote social-emotional learning Background in special education or working with children with diverse needs is a plus Proven ability to lead teams or groups effectively while maintaining a positive environment Previous outdoor work experience such as camp counseling or nature-based programs is highly desirable Join us to inspire the next generation!
