In this vital role, you will provide personalized coaching, skill development, and support to clients with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and cognitive disabilities. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help clients navigate daily life activities, foster social interactions, and build essential life skills in a supportive environment. Duties Develop and implement individualized training plans focused on enhancing daily living skills, communication, socialization, and community integration. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, meal preparation, and personal care. Support clients during community outings, transportation, and recreational activities using personal transportation assistance when needed. Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and address challenging behaviors effectively. Collect data on client progress, document observations, and maintain accurate records for ongoing assessment and reporting. Communicate regularly with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive support strategies. Administer medication or health-related interventions following proper protocols when required (training provided). Qualifications Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management strategies. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable. Background in behavioral health or social services supporting individuals with disabilities. Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely for client transportation purposes. Familiarity with home & community care practices and supporting patients with cognitive disabilities. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training provided if necessary. Experience assisting with ADLs, caregiving tasks, medication administration, and data collection.
