Position Summary As an Independent Living Skills Trainer , you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey toward greater independence and self-sufficiency. You'll work one-on-one or in group settings to teach essential life skills, provide guidance, and foster confidence in the individuals we serve. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to create meaningful, lasting change. Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day will include: Teaching and assisting individuals in developing essential independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, personal hygiene, and time management. Supporting individuals in navigating community resources and services. Encouraging self-advocacy and empowering individuals to make informed decisions. Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate documentation of activities and outcomes. Collaborating with families, caregivers, and other team members to ensure holistic support. Required Skills and Qualifications To thrive in this role, you'll need: At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities or similar populations. A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting others. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
