As our Development & Grants Specialist , you will work closely with the Director of Development and agency leadership to support grant writing, fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnerships.
Key Responsibilities :
Research funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and local, state, and federal sources. Write and coordinate grant proposals, applications, renewals, reports, and letters of inquiry. Collaborate with program and Finance teams to gather budgets, outcomes, data, and other information needed for funding requests. Maintain the grant calendar and track deadlines, submissions, awards, renewals, and reporting requirements. Research prospective donors, sponsors, foundations, corporations, and community partners. Support fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, sponsorships, and special events. Prepare donor communications, fundraising appeals, sponsorship materials, and other Development communications. Maintain accurate grant, donor, prospect, and fundraising information in Salesforce and other Development systems. Assist with tracking and reporting fundraising and grant activity. Build relationships with community partners and represent Mid-Fairfield at meetings and events as needed.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary range $60,000-70,000 based on experience and skills. Excellent benefits package includes generous vacation policy, employee health, dental, and vision insurance, and 403(b) plans. Schedule Position is a full time, 40 hour position, Monday through Friday. What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in communications, nonprofit management, business, public administration, marketing, English, social sciences, or a related field; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered. Experience in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, institutional advancement, or a related field. Excellent writing, editing, research, storytelling, and analytical skills. Ability to effectively use program outcomes, demographic information, budgets, and other data to develop compelling funding requests. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace and comfort learning new technology and Development systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience with foundation, corporate, state, or federal grants and related reporting requirements. Experience in nonprofit development, healthcare, behavioral health, human services, higher education, or a community-based organization. Experience with Salesforce or another CRM, grant research tools, donor databases, or fundraising platforms. Experience supporting donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, sponsorships, events, or donor communications.
