We are seeking a motivated Marine Sales Professional to join our sales team. This role is focused on developing new business opportunities, building customer relationships, and managing the sales process from initial contact through delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple sales channels, including digital platforms, social media, phone, email, and in-person customer interactions. This position requires someone who is proactive, organized, responsive, and comfortable taking initiative to develop new business. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be comfortable using digital and social media platforms to identify potential customers and develop new sales opportunities. Experience with platforms such as Facebook Marketplace, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, boating groups, forums, and other online communities is a plus. Previous marine or boat sales experience is preferred but not required. We are also open to candidates with a strong sales background who demonstrate an interest in the marine industry and a willingness to learn. We're looking for someone who: Takes initiative and is comfortable working independently. Has a strong interest in sales and business development. Is comfortable identifying and developing new customer opportunities. Is confident making outbound calls and following up with prospective customers. Is comfortable using social media and digital platforms as part of the sales process. Responds promptly to customer inquiries, leads, calls, and messages. Maintains consistent and professional follow-up throughout the sales process. Builds strong relationships with customers and works to understand their needs. Is comfortable discussing products, presenting options, and asking for the sale. Can identify opportunities involving boat purchases, sales, trades, consignments, and brokerage. Uses the company's CRM and sales systems consistently to track leads, activity, and customer communication. Maintains accurate customer records and follows established sales processes. Responsibilities The Marine Sales Professional will be responsible for managing the sales process from initial prospecting through delivery.
Responsibilities will include:
Developing new leads through social media, online marketplaces, networking, and other digital channels. Following up with company-generated leads and previous customers. Responding to inbound inquiries and showroom traffic. Identifying potential boat sales, trade, brokerage, and consignment opportunities. Maintaining an active sales pipeline and consistently following up on opportunities. Building and maintaining relationships with current and prospective customers. Using the company CRM and other sales tools to document customer interactions and manage opportunities. Staying informed on available inventory, product offerings, and relevant marine industry trends. Collaborating with other members of the sales and operations teams to provide a positive customer experience. Supporting the sales process through delivery and post-sale follow-up as needed. Marine Industry Experience Previous experience in boat sales or the marine industry is preferred, but it is not required for the right candidate. Knowledge of boats, engines, marine electronics, financing, warranties, brokerage, trade values, or related marine products is a plus. Candidates with strong sales experience and a demonstrated ability to learn new products and industries are encouraged to apply. Pay:
$30,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
