•3:00 pm, Overtime as Required Job Summary The primary purpose of this role is to train and certify all new and transferring warehouse associates, ensure ongoing recertification on required equipment and processes, conduct annual training, deliver "train-the-trainer" sessions for designated employees, and maintain accurate training records. Associate Responsibilities Train new hires and transferring warehouse associates on powered industrial equipment (TRT, Forklift, Walkie Rider), warehouse processes, and job-specific tasks. Assess associate performance using training checklists and Preferred Work Methods (PWMs); certify associates who successfully meet training requirements. Maintain accurate training records, reports, and documentation; complete required trainer and union-related documentation. Identify training gaps, performance concerns, and process improvement opportunities; communicate findings and recommendations to the Distribution Network Operations Manager. Provide ongoing coaching, retraining, and developmental support to associates requiring additional instruction. Instruct associates on preferred work methods, safety procedures, quality standards, and operational expectations. Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for new hires, ensuring they understand company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations. Manage training materials and supplies, including inventory, distribution, and ordering. Maintain all required trainer certifications and qualifications necessary to certify associates on powered industrial equipment. Partner with the Safety Manager and Operations Leadership to coordinate annual equipment recertifications, safety training, and compliance initiatives. Train and coach associates on working safely around automated equipment, conveyors, and robotic systems while adhering to established safety procedures. Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on training effectiveness, documentation, and operational processes. Required Education High School Diploma or GED required Required Skills & Experience Associate degree in Business or a related field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service, training, quality, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments. Experience operating powered industrial equipment in a distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred. Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to effectively train, coach, and provide constructive feedback to associates. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and maintaining accurate training records. Comfortable working in close proximity to automated equipment, conveyors, and robotic systems.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Strength Requirements:
Frequently exerting up to 50 lbs of force and occasionally exerting greater amounts of force to move, lift, carry, push, pull, or position materials and equipment. Movement
•Balancing, Stooping, Crouching, Handling, Reaching, Finger Dexterity. Must meet all manufacturer requirements for TRT operation, including a maximum operator weight of 400 lbs.
Auditory Talking Equipment Used:
Office equipment, vehicles, automated material handling equipment and robotic systems.
Hazards:
Work performed in an operational warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment, powered industrial vehicles, conveyors, automated systems and robotic equipment. Adherence to all safety procedures is required. This position has an On-Site location: Associate will work on-site for all work-related activities.
