2nd Shift Frame Mill Trainer

Job Description

Build Your Career with Ashley! Frame Mill Trainer What Will You Do? The Frame Mill Trainer is responsible for training new and existing employees on frame mill operations, equipment, safety protocols, and quality standards. This role ensures all team members are proficient in their assigned tasks and can perform their duties safely and efficiently while meeting production goals.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for frame mill operations
  • Train employees on proper operation of frame mill equipment, including saws, assembly stations, and material handling equipment
  • Conduct hands-on demonstrations of frame assembly techniques and quality standards
  • Create and maintain training documentation, visual aids, and standard operating procedures
  • Assess trainee progress and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Certify employees on equipment operation upon successful completion of training
  • Train employees on all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
  • Conduct safety observations and provide corrective feedback
  • Maintain training records and certifications for all team members
  • Report safety concerns and participate in safety committees
  • Teach quality standards and inspection procedures for frame components
  • Train employees on proper operation of frame mill equipment and computer tasks, including saws, assembly stations, and material handling equipment
  • Ensure trainees understand production metrics and performance expectations
  • Monitor production output during training periods
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and training enhancements
  • Coordinate with supervisors to schedule training sessions
  • Provide feedback to management on trainee performance and readiness
  • Work with HR on onboarding processes for new hires
  • Collaborate with maintenance on equipment-specific training needs
  • Communicate training schedules and updates to production teams
  • Assist with the training of other employees.
  • Participate in team meetings and activities.
  • Attend scheduled training sessions.
  • Maintain reliable attendance.
  • Work as a member of a team.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What Do You Need?
Required Education:
High school diploma or
GED Required Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in frame mill or furniture manufacturing operations
Licenses or Certification:
None Necessary Skills and Abilities:
Read, write, and comprehend the meaning of basic communications; Basic counting and math skills; Measure using English and Metric scales; Communicate and work with others and presentation skills; Ability to learn company's basic computer systems; Must have experience with Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Operate inventory scanning device; Reliable; Punctual; Perform duties in compliance with company policies; Work with others as part of a team; Perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
