Job Description

Job Title:
Youth Development Professional (YDP) Description The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad is seeking Youth Development Professionals to work with local youth afterschool programming at our Club sites, located in High Point and Asheboro, NC.
Schedule:
Monday•
Thursdays:
2:00 PM•7:00
PM Fridays:
1:30 PM•6:30 PM.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
Promote and Stimulate program participation. Provide guidance and role modeling to members. Lead a variety of Club activities and programs. Participate in fun in-service training. Participate in special programs and/or events. Help young people prepare for their futures. May be required to drive for Club Activities periodically. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred (youth development, education, behavioral health, or related field). Minimum of 1 year of experience working with youth in a program, camp, school, or community setting. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with youth ages 6-17, particularly those identified as higher risk. Passion for working in behavioral health, youth development, and character education. Strong organizational skills with the ability to track participation and program outcomes. Ability to lead, motivate, and maintain discipline in a group setting while fostering a supportive, positive atmosphere. Clean drivers record required. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust.
