Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Instructor. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive training on heavy machinery operation, simple maintenance, and safety protocols to students pursuing careers in construction, manufacturing, and related industries. Your expertise will empower learners to develop essential technical skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for real-world applications. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of skilled trades professionals through engaging instruction and curriculum development. Responsibilities Deliver hands-on classroom and practical instruction on heavy equipment operation. Follow current course curricula that incorporate current industry standards, safety regulations such as OSHA, and emerging technologies and educational technologies. Assess student progress through evaluations, practical demonstrations, and written assessments to ensure mastery of technical skills. Incorporate online instruction tools and digital resources to enhance learning experiences for diverse student populations. Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing safety protocols related to equipment use, MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations), and workplace safety standards. Support students from diverse cultural backgrounds by adapting teaching methods to meet varied learning needs in adult education settings. Skills Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, or other construction machinery.
