Don't just run machines. Help us reinvent how we manufacture. Are you the kind of machinist who sees a machine or person doing something the hard way and immediately starts thinking about how to make it better? Do you enjoy programming, troubleshooting, keeping equipment running, and figuring out solutions to problems others might consider a challenge? We want to talk to you. Reliable Manufacturing is a growing U.S. manufacturer of prefabricated gas meter settings and components. We're investing in new equipment, automation, and smarter manufacturing processes across our facility, and we're looking for a skilled CNC machinist who wants to be part of that growth. This position needs to balance two responsibilities: keeping current production running and developing better ways to manufacture. You'll play a hands-on role in our machine shop while also helping develop new processes, improve existing operations, and bring automation projects from idea to reality. What you'll do: Program and operate CNC equipment. Develop, modify, and optimize programs to produce quality parts efficiently and consistently. Keep machines running. Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, identify problems before they become bigger ones, and help minimize downtime. Solve problems. Evaluate machining processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and find practical ways to improve quality, efficiency, and repeatability. Build what's next. Participate in R&D projects focused on automation, new equipment, and innovative manufacturing methods. Improve how we work. Help design, test, and implement processes that reduce manual work, improve consistency, and allow us to grow our production capabilities. Work across the operation. Collaborate with our production team and other departments as we automate and improve processes throughout the facility. We're looking for someone who: Has hands-on CNC machining experience and the ability to program machines independently. Understands machining processes, tooling, setups, and how to troubleshoot problems. Can diagnose machine issues and perform routine maintenance and repairs. Enjoys working through challenges and figuring out how to make things work better. Is comfortable taking an idea, testing a solution, and refining it until it works. Can balance day-to-day production needs with longer-term improvement projects. Takes ownership, works independently, and isn't afraid to share ideas or question the way something has always been done. Experience with automation, CNC equipment integration, process development, or robotics is a plus. We're especially interested in someone who is curious, mechanically minded, and excited about the opportunity to help us expand our capabilities. Why Reliable Manufacturing? We're a growing manufacturing company with a practical, hands-on approach. We value good ideas, hard work, and people who take pride in what they do. You won't be lost in layers of management or buried in red tape. When you see an opportunity to improve something, we want you to speak up and help make it happen. We're building our future through better equipment, smarter processes, and automation, and you'll have a real opportunity to influence how that future takes shape. If you want a role where you can use your machining skills, solve meaningful problems, and help build something better, we'd love to hear from you.
