As a Learning and Development Specialist I, you'll live our mission by helping Financial Solutions Network team members grow their knowledge and skills as they strive to improve the financial lives of our neighbors and their businesses. You'll deliver on our Customer and Employee Promises and help others do the same. You'll carry our culture and brand in and beyond the classroom. You'll lead in-person classes for new and existing employees using a broad range of facilitation skills with a focus on delivering content clearly, combined with meaningful, accurate practice and support to ensure effective learning transfer. Proficiency in our service and sales models, the systems tellers and bankers use in their work, and the regulations and rules governing financial institutions will be essential to your success. You may also deliver virtual classroom curricula. You'll provide input to improve the curricula you facilitate and contribute to project work focused on improving and expanding our learning solutions. Essential Job Responsibilities Facilitate effective learning experiences 1. Demonstrates high quality facilitation skills using varied delivery modalities with a focus on in-person delivery supported by virtual and blended delivery. 2. Demonstrates advanced proficiency in a variety of teller and banker skills including service excellence, sales, transaction processing, account opening and consumer lending, and other topics as identified. 3. Utilizes tools to track, evaluate, communicate and follow-up on learner progress and support learning transfer. 4. Provides small group and on-the-job coaching as needed to lock in learning after new hire training. Maintain assigned curricula 5. Serves as L&D expert on assigned curricula. 6. Identifies improvement opportunities and guides to implementation. 7. Communicates changes to teammates and instructs peers on delivering content. 8. Ensures regulatory/compliance content is accurate. 9. Collaborates with peers and subject matter experts to keep material up to date. Consult on cross-functional teams 10. Advocates for learners. 11. Advises on operations and process improvement. 12. Socializes and champion changes. 13. Champions new projects, products and procedures impacting the field. Professional Development 14. Takes ownership of your own development. 15. Stays a subject matter expert in the curricula you facilitate. 16. Participates in coaching and roleplay practice to grow your facilitation skills. 17. Pursues professional opportunities to grow your knowledge and application of adult learning theory. 18. Keeps up to date on adult learning research and emerging practices through research and connection to communities of practice. 19. Stays informed with Need2Know and First2Know. 20. Be a Champion of our Customer and Employee Promises. 23. Maintains a high standard of conduct. Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications 1. High school degree required. Associate degree or higher preferred. 2. Two (2) years of branch sales and operations related experience is required. 3. Must register and maintain current registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS). The NMLS website (mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org) provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position. 4. Proficient in-person facilitation skills. Two (2) years of classroom or in-person facilitation experience is preferred. Professional certification in facilitation or Learning and Development is preferred. 5. Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Webex or equivalent web conferencing platform, classroom multimedia equipment, and user-level learning management system tasks. Ability to learn FCB-specific systems at an advanced level. 6. Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, along with a passion for helping others; being motivated to learn; and professionalism. Carry our culture and brand in and beyond the classroom. 7. Frequent, consecutive overnight stays and/or extended commute. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. May be eligible for telecommuting when not facilitating in-person sessions.
