UTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Provides on the job training to assist adults or students with mild to moderate disabilities in gaining work skills and work ethics at local employers, to meet the needs of employers expectations and secure employment. 2. Coach clients to offer support, build self-confidence and work independently. 3. Prepares written weekly work experience training reports to send to the Program director. 4. Demonstrates understanding of employability skills, and teaching techniques. 5. Must be professional, dependable, and experienced helping individuals. 6. Must understand the need of and sensitivity of culturally diverse populations by promoting caring and respectful workplace compassion. 7. Maintains close communication with the director of operations. 8. Instructs clients in maintaining job retention skills and positive attitudes. 9. Monitors the clients performance and ability to ensure safe and efficient work site performance. 10. Monitors the clients performance to reinforce work skills learned. 11. Provides feedback to the supervisor for improving the quality of service delivery. J

OB RELATIONSHIPS

• This position requires the individual to work closely with the director of operations and the program manager. He/she must possess organizational skills and have strong oral/written and interpersonal communication skills. This individual must have the ability to assess and support individual needs and abilities as well as demonstrate patience and flexibility during the learning process. This individual must understand, maintain, and uphold the mission and vision of the Life Purpose Center. E

DUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A job skills credential is required. And a background in teaching, social services, coaching, non-profits, mental health and other human services are helpful.
