You will have the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with clients and their pets while providing high-quality grooming services in a professional veterinary setting. We are looking for someone who is: Experienced and confident in their grooming abilities Passionate about providing excellent care to dogs Patient and compassionate with anxious, fearful or difficult pets Detail-oriented and takes pride in the quality of their work Professional and comfortable communicating with clients Honest and transparent when discussing a pet's grooming needs or health concerns Reliable, motivated and committed to maintaining a positive work environment Open to continued education and learning new grooming techniques Responsibilities Bathe, shampoo and condition dogs according to their individual needs Perform breed-specific and owner-requested haircuts, trims and styling Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing and other routine grooming services Safely handle dogs of varying sizes, temperaments and grooming needs Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding grooming requests and recommendations Identify and communicate concerns such as skin abnormalities, growths, ear infections, fleas, ticks or other issues noticed during grooming Provide clients with appropriate at-home grooming and maintenance recommendations Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary grooming environment Properly clean and disinfect grooming equipment and work areas Monitor grooming supplies and communicate supply needs to management Follow all Rehm Animal Clinic safety, sanitation and animal-handling protocols

What We Are Looking For Required:

Graduation from a professional grooming program OR a minimum of one year of professional grooming experience Experience safely handling and grooming dogs Strong attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently while being a positive member of a team Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift dogs weighing 50+ pounds Why Groom at Rehm Animal Clinic?
