We are looking for a reliable, experienced, professional pet groomer to join our mobile grooming team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, treats every pet with patience and kindness, and understands the importance of providing excellent customer service.
Experience & Skills Required:
Previous professional dog grooming experience Comfortable grooming dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and coat types Knowledge of breed-specific cuts and customer-requested styles Experience with bathing, brushing, blow-drying, de-shedding, clipping, scissoring, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims Able to safely handle nervous, senior, energetic, and difficult dogs Able to recognize matting, skin concerns, fleas/ticks, injuries, or other conditions that should be brought to the owner's attention Must know how to properly and safely use grooming clippers, blades, shears, dryers, tables, tubs, and other professional grooming equipment
Workplace Expectations:
Arrive on time and prepared for every scheduled appointment Follow the daily grooming schedule and communicate immediately if running behind Treat customers, pets, and coworkers professionally and respectfully Follow customer grooming instructions and confirm the requested haircut before beginning when necessary Never perform unnecessary services or make major changes to a pet's coat without authorization Handle every animal safely and humanely—rough handling will not be tolerated Keep the grooming van clean, sanitary, organized, and professional throughout the day Clean and disinfect the tub, table, tools, equipment, and grooming area between appointments Sweep/vacuum hair and properly dispose of waste after each appointment Perform a complete end-of-day cleaning of the mobile grooming van Properly maintain grooming tools and immediately report damaged equipment, mechanical problems, generator issues, leaks, or other concerns Help protect the van and equipment from unnecessary damage
Customer Service:
The groomer represents April's Furry Tail while working with our customers. You must be friendly, respectful, patient, and professional. Any customer complaints, injuries, accidents, or unusual situations must be reported to the owner immediately.
Business & Customer Protection:
All customers scheduled through April's Furry Tail are company customers. Groomers may not privately solicit, redirect, take, or perform side work for company customers outside of the business. Customer names, phone numbers, addresses, pricing, schedules, and other business information must remain confidential. We Are Looking for
Someone Who Is:
Dependable, honest, punctual, experienced, patient with animals, detail-oriented, clean and organized, able to work independently, comfortable working inside a mobile grooming van, and committed to providing quality grooming services. Pay:
