Job Description

DOG GROOMER

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and grooming, with experience in pet coat styling, animal handling, and customer service. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of dogs, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. The Dog Groomer will also communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their needs and deliver exceptional care. This position offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where animal well-being is our top priority. Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, haircutting and styling (breed standard, trendy & doodle styles) according to client specifications Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure both pet and groomer safety Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and special needs Assist with animal handling during grooming procedures, ensuring comfort and cooperation Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work area to uphold hygiene standards Assist with pet care tasks such as walking or kennel cleaning as needed Handle animals of various sizes and temperaments Experience 3+ years dog grooming experience, NO

EXCEPTIONS PLEASE!

Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet nail trimming, and coat styling techniques Experience working with different types of dog breeds Strong communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting pets or equipment) This role requires a caring attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while ensuring the safety and comfort of every animal.
