- Sebastopol, CA Sebastopol Paw Spa is looking for an experienced, professional dog groomer to join our small, friendly team.
We are open to either part-time or full-time depending on the right person and are looking for someone who would like to work at least two days per week. We are a locally owned dog grooming salon, self-serve dog wash, and boutique focused on creating a calm, positive experience for both dogs and their owners. Our groomers work one-on-one with their dogs rather than juggling multiple dogs at once. This allows each groomer to focus on quality, safety, individualized care, and building relationships with our clients. We are currently booking several weeks in advance, so there is an established client base. You do not need to bring your own clients. Pay & Benefits $25

About Our Environment Sebastopol Paw Spa is a small, supportive shop where we value quality over quantity. We want our groomers to have the time and environment needed to do their best work while keeping each dog's comfort and safety a priority. Our one-on-one grooming model allows groomers to focus on the dog in front of them rather than managing several dogs at once. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a calmer environment and values building positive relationships with both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Perform full-service grooming on dogs of a variety of breeds, sizes, and coat types Complete bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and haircut/styling services Safely and compassionately handle dogs with different personalities and temperaments Evaluate coat and skin condition and communicate any concerns Communicate professionally and kindly with clients Maintain a clean and organized grooming area Work cooperatively with our small team Provide a high standard of care while keeping the dog's comfort and safety a priority Qualifications Professional dog grooming experience required Ability to complete grooms independently from start to finish Knowledge of breed-standard and pet-style grooming Comfortable working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, coat types, and temperaments Dependable and able to maintain a scheduled appointment book Strong attention to detail Good communication and customer-service skills Patient, compassionate, and focused on the well-being of the dog We are especially interested in finding an experienced groomer who values quality, kindness, good communication, and excellent dog handling. Schedule We are flexible and open to discussing schedules with the right candidate. Both part-time and full-time applicants are encouraged to apply. We are ideally looking for someone who can work at least two days per week, with the possibility of additional days and hours depending on availability and interest.
