Duties Feed, water, and monitor animals to ensure their health and comfort throughout the day Clean cages, kennels, and common areas to maintain a sanitized environment in accordance with pet care facility standards Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills Assist with pet grooming, including bathing, brushing, and basic trimming to promote hygiene and well-being Support pet boarding services by caring for animals during their stay, including exercise and enrichment activities Conduct outdoor work such as walking dogs, cleaning outdoor enclosures, and supervising playtime in open spaces Perform routine animal behavior assessments to identify any signs of distress or illness and report findings promptly Support veterinary technicians or assistants with basic animal care tasks as needed Maintain detailed records of animal health, behavior observations, feeding schedules, and cleaning routines Ensure pet care facility sanitization through thorough cleaning practices to prevent the spread of disease Experience Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly valued for understanding animal health needs Pet sitting or pet care experience demonstrates your ability to handle animals responsibly in various settings Veterinary assistant experience provides a strong foundation in animal health procedures and client communication Dog training background enhances your ability to manage different behaviors effectively Kennel experience showcases your skills in cleaning, feeding, and caring for multiple animals simultaneously Outdoor work experience is beneficial for supervising playtime and maintaining outdoor enclosures Strong animal handling skills combined with customer service experience help create positive interactions with pet owners and visitors Physical stamina for heavy lifting, team lifting, and standing for extended periods ensures you can perform all duties efficiently Join us if you're enthusiastic about making a difference in animals' lives!
