Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The Pet Groomer will work closely with pet owners, providing excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and clean environment for both pets and staff. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Handle animals safely and effectively, using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming. Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and equipment, ensuring they are sanitized after each use. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options. Keep accurate records of services performed on each pet, including any special instructions or concerns from pet owners. Assist in the care of animals in the facility, including feeding, walking, and monitoring their health as needed. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Requirements Previous experience in pet grooming is highly desirable. Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus. Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is beneficial. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage various breeds safely. Familiarity with animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Experience in kennel operations or pet care environments is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals or equipment as needed.
