Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling coats to meet client specifications and breed standards Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring proper restraint and safety during grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other hygiene tasks to promote overall health and comfort Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide advice on pet coat styling and maintenance Manage animal handling with compassion, ensuring a calm environment for pets of all temperaments Assist with pet training or behavioral guidance as needed to facilitate grooming sessions Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and mobile workspace, adhering to health and safety standards Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage animals safely during grooming procedures Knowledge of animal handling techniques, animal restraint, and basic pet care practices Experience working with veterinary professionals or understanding veterinary procedures is a plus Excellent communication skills to engage with pet owners confidently and professionally Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle larger or heavier pets safely Familiarity with animal training techniques, veterinary technician or assistant experience is advantageous Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and energetic approach to work Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference every day!
