•P3 Staffing is seeking a dedicated Barn Hand to join a resilient team at a Private Christian School in Hudson, FL serving special needs students. The ideal Barn Hand candidate will have a passion for working with students on the Autism Spectrum, caring for horses and maintaining daily farm operations. This Full-Time Barn Hand position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic agricultural environment and utilize the incredible power of animals to impact the lives of over 150 students (and growing).

Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks related to the care of horses and miniature donkeys including; feeding, grooming, and exercising Assist with basic veterinary care under supervision Operate and maintain machinery and equipment Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed Help repair and maintain fences and paddocks used on the property Maintain cleanliness and organization in barn and surrounding areas Assist the Barn Manager in teaching Horsemanship classes Assist in teaching riding lessons to students (under Barn Manager supervision)

Requirements:

Experience in equine care and handling (3-5 years preferred) Ability to stand for long periods at a time throughout your shift (8hrs) Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly throughout your shift (30lbs unassisted) Ability to bend, kneel, and squat without assistance Must be able to work Full-Time hours; including weekends Knowledge of animal care practices Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment Experience working with kids of various ages (preferred) Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred) Must be able to pass a Level 2 Fingerprint Background Clearance Must be able to pass a Drug Test Must have reliable transportation
