Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic pet care team as a Pet Care Attendant, where your passion for animals and energetic attitude will shine! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional care and attention to pets in our facility, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness. Your proactive approach and love for animals will help create a welcoming environment for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of dog breeds, contributing to their well-being and strengthening your skills in animal handling and pet care. Duties Assist with pet feeding, grooming, and administering medications as directed Monitor pets' behavior and health, noting any concerns or changes Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a sanitized environment Support pet boarding activities by providing attentive care during overnight stays or extended visits Engage in outdoor activities such as walking dogs and supervising playtime to promote physical activity Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies, bedding, or equipment safely with team lifting techniques Ensure facility sanitization protocols are followed diligently to uphold health standards for animals and staff Experience Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician background is highly desirable Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work demonstrates strong animal handling skills Background as a veterinary assistant or in animal care facilities provides valuable insight into pet health management Proven ability to handle dogs confidently while maintaining safety for both pets and staff Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal restraint methods enhances the quality of care provided Outdoor work experience is beneficial for supervising outdoor play areas and walking dogs Excellent customer service skills are essential for communicating effectively with pet owners and team members Embark on a rewarding career where your enthusiasm for animals makes a real difference! Pay:
From $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
