Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations. This role requires both technical skills in grooming and a friendly demeanor to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets if necessary. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners and Front Desk about their pets' needs and grooming options. Handle animals safely and comfortably, using appropriate restraint techniques when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Monitor pets during grooming sessions for any signs of distress or health issues, reporting concerns to pet owners as needed. Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products to enhance service quality. Take direction well when it comes to the picky clients who want their grooms a certain way. Skills Strong knowledge of animal care practices and grooming techniques. Proficiency in animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners. Experience in dog training or handling is a plus, enhancing the overall experience for both pets and their owners. Familiarity with pet sitting or veterinary practices can be beneficial in understanding animal behavior and health needs. Ability to handle various breeds of dogs and other animals with confidence and care. Groomer MUST be able to speak English and Portuguese or Spanish and English.
