We are looking for someone who is thorough, dependable, comfortable working independently, and takes pride in making sure every dog is fully finished to a high standard. This position can absolutely remain a hands-on bathing position long term. For someone who is interested in taking on additional responsibility, there is also an opportunity for the role to develop into more of a grooming operations and client-service position as our company continues to grow. If you enjoy working directly with dogs and want to remain focused on bathing and mobile appointments, there is absolutely a place for that within our company. You are not required to move into an operations position. For someone who enjoys organization, communication, and the business side of grooming, there is also an opportunity over time to learn more of our grooming operations. That path may eventually include a combination of a lighter schedule of bath/basic grooming appointments along with responsibilities such as: Managing company phone calls and texts Responding to clients throughout the day Scheduling and rescheduling appointments Helping organize multiple mobile grooming routes Keeping the company schedule organized Communicating schedule changes with the grooming team Assisting with client follow-up Helping with company social media posting Taking on additional day-to-day operational responsibilities These responsibilities would be introduced gradually based on your strengths, interests, and how the position develops. You would not be expected to handle all of these responsibilities when starting. Previous grooming experience is a bonus because familiarity with grooming can be helpful when communicating with clients, but it is not required. We are not specifically looking to fill another full-time groomer position. For the right person, there is the opportunity to grow into a consistent four-day schedule and potentially full-time hours. Saturday availability is important. Our typical grooming schedule begins around 8:30 AM. On occasional boarding days, an earlier start around 7:30 AMmay be available or needed to assist with the dogs at our Loxahatchee location before appointments begin. For others, it may eventually mean taking on more responsibility with client communication, scheduling, social media, and grooming operations. Our goal is to bring someone into the team, train them in how we operate, and allow the position to develop naturally based on where they are strongest and what they enjoy. Paid training is provided.
