Madi’s mutts

Dayshift dog daycare associate

Entry-Level JobVerifiedNo experience needed

Job Description

We're growing and looking for a dependable, hardworking team member to join Madi's Mutts for our daytime shift! Our clients trust us with their furry family members, and we take that responsibility seriously. This is a hands-on, fast-paced job caring for living animals that depend on us every single day, so reliability is extremely important. Reliability Matters We understand that genuine emergencies and illnesses happen. However, this is not a job where a shift can simply go uncovered. The dogs still need to be supervised, fed, cleaned up after, and cared for regardless of who is scheduled. Because of that, frequent call-outs, last-minute call-outs, tardiness, and regular requests to be excused from scheduled shifts are not compatible with this position. If you commit to a shift, we need to be able to count on you to be there. What You'll Be Doing Supervising and safely managing groups of dogs Monitoring behavior and maintaining a safe play environment Cleaning play areas, kennels, floors, bowls, and other areas throughout the day Feeding, watering, and caring for daycare and boarding dogs Taking dogs in and out and rotating playgroups Checking customers in and out and providing friendly customer service Following established routines, safety procedures, and cleaning standards Working with the team to keep the facility clean, organized, and running smoothly What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Strong work ethic and willingness to stay busy Comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes Comfortable confidently managing groups of dogs Observant and able to recognize changes in dog behavior Good customer service and communication skills Team-oriented and drama-free Comfortable cleaning—there is plenty of it Available to work weekends and holidays as needed Previous professional dog experience is helpful but not required. We can teach dog-handling skills; reliability, good judgment, and work ethic are much harder to teach. Pay & Schedule $10/hour during training Immediately increases to $12/hour after training $10-$13/hour depending on experience and responsibilities Approximately 25-35 hours per week Daytime availability required, shift is 7AM- 2PM Weekend and holiday availability required Benefits Tips Paid time off (PTO) Paid sick leave Paid training Employee discounts Free dog daycare Flexible scheduling Opportunities for advancement One Last Thing If selected for an interview, please come to the interview by yourself. Please do not bring children or pets with you. Yes, we realize that probably shouldn't need to be included in a job posting but here we are. If you're dependable, enjoy working hard, and genuinely enjoy caring for dogs, we'd love to hear from you!
