General Manager Position Summary:

The Overnight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of all pets in our care during overnight hours. This position requires a dependable, attentive, and compassionate individual who can provide high-quality care and maintain a clean, secure environment while monitoring pets throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor all pets in boarding and daycare areas during overnight hours. Perform regular overnight wellness checks to ensure pets are comfortable, healthy, and safe. Provide individualized care, including feeding, administering medications (as instructed), and assisting pets with special needs. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by following daily cleaning and disinfecting protocols. Handle emergencies calmly and effectively, including contacting on-call staff or veterinarians when necessary. Record and communicate observations, behaviors, and any concerns in shift logs for morning staff. Ensure facility security, including monitoring doors, gates, and alarm systems. Comfort anxious or stressed pets and provide reassurance as needed. Follow all safety and handling procedures to minimize risk to staff and animals.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in pet care, animal handling, or kennel work preferred. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to stay alert and focused overnight. Compassionate, patient, and comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.

Work Environment:

Overnight shifts (typically 10pm-4am, hours may vary). Indoor facility with exposure to noise, cleaning products, and various pet behaviors.
