Raccoon River Kennels is seeking a highly motivated, hardworking, and attentive animal lover for our PM Kennel Assistant! The Kennel Assistants main responsibility is to oversee the care and well-being of the boarding and daycare animals. Duties include feeding, watering, exercising all boarding and daycare dogs, administering medications, and maintaining the general cleanliness and upkeep of the facility and kennels. We are looking for someone that wants to join a team dedicated to providing outstanding animal care in a fun, relaxed, and family orientated environment! Kennel Assistant PM/weekends Leash walking all boarding dogs on our 7 acres of property Facilitating and supervising multiple daycare groups focusing on wellness and fun! Ensuring that the animals have ample, fresh food and water at all times. Cleaning spilled food, hair, and other debris from the kennels. Basic grooming, exercising and administering medications to animals Exercising family dogs in our out door play yard All miscellaneous cleaning duties Reporting on physical wellness of each boarding dog Shifts we are hiring for include: evenings weeknights Monday-Friday and weekend. Must be able to work holidays and have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a team.
