Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant pet care team as a Kennel Technician, where your passion for animals and energetic attitude will make a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this role, you'll provide exceptional care, ensure a clean and safe environment, and create joyful experiences for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Whether you're handling daily pet care routines or engaging in outdoor activities, your enthusiasm will help foster a loving, secure, and fun atmosphere for every furry guest. Duties Provide attentive care to dogs and other animals, including feeding, watering, administering medications, and monitoring health status Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and grooming stations through thorough sanitization and organization Assist with pet boarding procedures, ensuring each animal's comfort and safety during their stay Engage dogs in positive socialization activities, including playtime, basic training exercises like dog handling and behavior management Handle animal restraint safely during grooming, veterinary procedures, or cleaning to ensure safety for both pets and staff Support outdoor work tasks such as yard cleaning, fence checks, and supervising outdoor play sessions to promote healthy exercise and socialization Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' well-being and answering questions professionally Experience Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly valued for understanding animal health needs Experience in pet sitting or pet care facilities demonstrates your ability to manage multiple animals responsibly Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior helps in managing different temperaments effectively Kennel experience or animal handling skills are essential for safe restraint, grooming assistance, and daily care routines Comfort with heavy lifting and team lifting is necessary when moving supplies or assisting with large animals or equipment Outdoor work experience supports the physical demands of yard maintenance and outdoor play supervision Strong customer service skills combined with pet grooming knowledge enhance the overall experience for clients and their pets Join us to make a positive impact on pets' lives while working in a lively environment that values dedication, compassion, and teamwork.
