Responsibilities Supervise dogs during daycare activities, ensuring safe play and socialization while monitoring behavior to prevent conflicts or injuries Assist with dog training sessions by implementing basic commands and reinforcing positive behaviors under supervision Provide attentive pet care during boarding stays, including feeding, administering medications if needed, and maintaining clean living spaces Facilitate engaging activities such as swimming sessions or outdoor play to promote physical exercise and mental stimulation Maintain a clean and sanitized environment by performing regular kennel cleaning, grooming assistance, and facility sanitization procedures Handle animal restraint safely during grooming, health checks, or training exercises while ensuring comfort for each pet Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, behavior, and progress to foster trust and satisfaction Requirements Prior professional dog handling background is required Experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or animal care facilities demonstrates strong animal handling skills Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior enhances your ability to support training initiatives Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when handling large or multiple dogs safely Outdoor work experience is beneficial for supervising outdoor play areas or swimming sessions in various weather conditions Excellent customer service skills to engage with pet owners professionally and empathetically Familiarity with pet grooming, animal restraint techniques, and pet boarding procedures is preferred Strong commitment to cleanliness and safety standards for animal care facility sanitization Embark on a fulfilling career where your passion for dogs makes a real difference!
