Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and pet coat maintenance to meet each pet's specific needs. Handle animals safely and compassionately, utilizing animal restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure comfort and safety for pets and staff alike. Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming procedures with precision and care. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations for pet coat styling. Maintain a clean, organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained. Assist with pet sitting, kennel duties, or heavy lifting as needed to support overall animal care operations. Collaborate with veterinary staff or veterinary technicians when necessary to address special health or behavioral needs of pets. Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming. Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage animals of various temperaments confidently. Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and animal care best practices. Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming preferences and animal health concerns. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for kennel cleaning or equipment setup. Customer service-oriented mindset with a genuine passion for companion animal handling and pet care.
