In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services tailored to each pet's unique needs, ensuring their comfort and safety while fostering positive relationships with pet owners. Your expertise will help enhance the well-being and appearance of our furry friends, making every grooming session a delightful experience for pets and their owners alike. Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, coat styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and de-matting with precision and care. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure comfort and prevent injury. Assess each pet's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments or pet care advice to owners. Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming procedures, pet health concerns, and aftercare instructions. Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use. Assist with additional animal care tasks such as kennel cleaning, etc. Support team members with training in dog handling or animal restraint techniques to improve overall safety and efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling, nail trimming, and bathing techniques. Reliable, must have good and clear communication. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work confidently with dogs, cats, and other companion animals of various sizes and temperaments. Excellent communication skills to engage with pet owners clearly and professionally. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for animal handling or equipment setup. Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is a plus for understanding animal behavior in different environments.
