We service clients with a variety of pets - those who take vacations and those who are commuters and can't get home to walk their dog. Applicants must meet the physical requirement to do all the elements of the job including: walking strong dogs / multiple dogs, going up and down stairs, bending over to scoop litter / pick up waste, looking under couches or beds for hiding cats, etc. We are looking for energetic, team players with their own vehicles and DL's who are available for the following pet care shifts: 1 weekday morning position Mon-Friday 7am-12pm 2 Friday, Saturday, Sunday weekend positions 7am-8:30pm 1 weekday evenings and weekend person (great for teachers!) 4pm-8:30pm Must be available for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. We service clients 7am to 8p every day of the year so there are a variety of shifts available. Currently preference given to candidates with previous pet industry experience. o All LPF team members must live in the city of Lawrence and be at least 21 years of age for insurance purposes. LPF makes a great second job and we are flexible with school schedules. Duties Handle dogs during walks, ensuring they are safe and well-behaved throughout the activity. Provide attentive pet care, including feeding, administering medication if necessary, and maintaining cleanliness. Take dogs on walks of varying lengths based on client instructions and individual pet needs. Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' well-being, behaviors, and any concerns that arise during visits. Care for cats and other small pets as part of pet sitting duties, ensuring they are fed, comfortable, and monitored regularly. Perform pet sitting duties in clients' homes or designated locations, providing companionship and basic care while owners are away. Skills Strong experience in dog handling and understanding animal behavior. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients professionally and clearly. Ability to manage multiple pets and adapt to different animals' needs. Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a genuine passion for animal care. Ability to follow specific instructions related to each pet's routine and health requirements. Physical stamina for walking dogs of various sizes and energy levels. Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
