As a licensed professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality grooming services while maintaining the safety and comfort of every pet. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and pet coat styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs with care, ensuring proper animal restraint and gentle handling throughout all grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, brushing, and other pet care tasks with precision and compassion Communicate effectively with pet owners to discuss grooming preferences, provide advice on pet coat maintenance, and address any concerns Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized regularly Assist with pet handling during check-in and check-out processes, providing excellent customer service at all times Support veterinary or veterinary technician staff when needed by providing animal handling assistance or participating in related tasks such as heavy lifting or animal restraint Experience Proven experience as a dog groomer with a valid license or certification in pet grooming or related fields Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is highly desirable Prior veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with animal health and behavior management Experience handling various animals including dogs and horses (equine experience) is beneficial for versatile animal handling skills Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist with larger or heavier animals Familiarity with animal restraint techniques, pet sitting practices, and general animal care standards Join us to make a positive impact on pets' lives while building rewarding relationships with caring pet owners!
