Join a team where your skills, judgment, and experience are recognized, respected, and valued. Argos Pet Care is looking for an experienced professional dog walker to join our team. For more than two decades, we've built our reputation on thoughtful, reliable, high-quality pet care — and a team culture based on respect, communication, kindness, and professionalism. We're looking for someone who already has real-world experience working with dogs and understands that professional dog walking is much more than simply going for a walk. What We're Looking For At least 2 years of experience working with dogs Able to safely and confidently walk up to four dogs at a time Strong knowledge of canine behavior and body language Experience safely handling reactive and fearful dogs Knowledge of the unique characteristics and needs of different breeds Experience using a variety of training tools and methods fairly, safely, and humanely Formal education, coursework, or certifications in dog training, canine behavior, or animal care are a plus At least one full year of experience working outdoors in New England Excellent situational awareness and sound judgment Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, detail oriented and communicative Comfortable working independently and in all weather Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license Comfortable handling large dogs (60+ lbs) Weekend and holiday availability Able to pass a background check What You'll Do Walk and care for client dogs, including multiple dogs at once Safely handle dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments Work confidently with reactive, fearful, and easily overstimulated dogs Recognize and respond appropriately to canine body language and behavior Transport dogs safely to and from visits Navigate New England neighborhoods, weather, traffic, and distractions with strong situational awareness Communicate clearly with our team about dog behavior, safety, and client needs Help introduce and train new team members in the safe and appropriate handling of our dogs Be part of puppy structure walk/train program Help introduce reactive, fearful dogs safely to the pack.
