Your proactive approach will help create a positive environment that promotes healthy socialization, exercise, and happiness for dogs of all breeds and sizes. This paid position offers you the opportunity to work in a lively, pet-loving atmosphere where every day is different and rewarding. Duties Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring safe interactions and positive socialization. Monitor dog behavior closely, recognizing signs of stress or discomfort and intervening appropriately. Assist with dog handling, including feeding, walking, grooming, and administering basic pet care routines. Maintain cleanliness of the facility by sanitizing kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment. Support animal restraint procedures during health checks or grooming activities to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Educate pet owners about their dog's behavior, health needs, and best practices for at-home care. Collaborate with team members on outdoor activities like walks or supervised play sessions to promote physical activity. Requirements Previous experience in veterinary settings, pet sitting, kennel work, or animal handling is highly preferred. Knowledge of animal behavior and pet care techniques including dog training and pet grooming. Ability to lift heavy objects safely through team lifting techniques; physical stamina for outdoor work and active engagement. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward pet owners and visitors. Experience with animal restraint procedures and sanitization practices in pet care facilities. Demonstrated ability to handle animals gently yet confidently in various situations.
