Animal Care Associate

Job Description

Who we need: Rapidly growing Baypath Humane Society is seeking a part-time Animal Care Associate for ~30 hours a week (plus fill-in availability) or full-time (40 hours per week) with a focus on day to day animal care and enrichment, as well as preparing to help these animals find wonderful homes. We are seeking a passionate person with some animal experience to not only provide excellent care and enrichment, but also work with staff and volunteers to create a nurturing environment for our animals while they are in our care. What you bring to the team: Ability to provide food, water, medication, care, exercise, and enrichment in a manner necessary to improve the overall health and comfort of animals. Ability to follow established disease control protocols to daily clean, disinfect, and maintain shelter kennels, cages, and general areas . Ability to cultivate positive client, volunteer and coworker relations through professional, courteous, and educational interactions . Ability to maintain animal information in Shelterluv database and other required paperwork in a way that ensures all information is communicated appropriately to staff and adopters. Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in animal care and customer service, with animal shelter experience preferred.
