In joining our team, you will receive on-the-job training with dog body language, pack behavior, social group management and safe handling protocols. We offer a friendly, welcoming, work environment and a strong team of dedicated canine lovers! We are requiring reliable individuals that have a positive attitude, good work ethic, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get dirty! This is an entry-level position, with opportunity for growth! We require comfort with all sizes and breeds of dogs, as well as comfort in overseeing large playgroups. You will be working very hands on with supervising social groups, providing enrichment, monitoring play styles and interactions, cleaning, record keeping and health checks. The positions are physically demanding and require you to be on your feet for long periods of time. A successful candidate will be a significant canine lover, pay excellent attention to detail, set and maintain high standards for sanitation and cleanliness, have the exceptional ability to multitask, time manage and adapt to change. Must be able to work holidays and weekends (Please do not apply if you are unable to work on either). This is a part-time position working approximately 25-30 hours per week. Shifts we are looking to fill are between the hours of 6:30 am - 7:00 pm Monday thru Friday as well as various shifts on the weekends. Experience in a day care/boarding facility helpful but not necessary. This is not a summer job, we are looking for someone to stay longer. Job duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Supervise dogs in the indoor & outdoor play areas
Must be able to handle all types and sizes of dogs while unleashed or leashed
Continuous cleaning of play areas and kennels
Customer service while checking dogs in/out of day care and boarding
Communicating with leadership and other staff members effectively
Prepare meals for dogs as required & replenish water bowls
Be on time and dependable
Job Qualifications:
Must be confident & able to handle all size dogs
Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds
Stand/walk for long periods of time
Able to clean, sweep, and mop throughout shift
Strong work ethic
Team Player, dependable, hardworking, and able to communicate effectively
Able to work weekends and holidays Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and have your own vehicle!
