Job Description

Love animals? Love being active? Want a job that makes you feel good? We're looking for a reliable, responsible pet lover to join our team as a Pet Sitter Specialist! You'll spend your days visiting adorable pets in their own homes, getting fresh air and exercise, and making a real difference for pets and their people. This is an ongoing, part-time position—not a seasonal or temporary job. Where You Need to Live You must live in one of these areas: Eagan Apple Valley Rosemount Burnsville Lakeville Farmington Inver Grove Heights Because you'll be driving between clients' homes, living within our service area is essential. Please do not apply if you live outside these areas. What You'll Do Walk dogs and provide loving care for pets in their homes Feed pets, give medications when needed, and provide plenty of attention and playtime Care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets Write thoughtful and fun journal updates for pet parents after each visit Travel between clients' homes throughout our service area Complete visits within scheduled arrival windows set by the client Work independently and stay on schedule Work outdoors in all Minnesota weather—including snow! What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: A genuine animal lover Reliable, responsible, and dependable Comfortable working independently without someone looking over your shoulder Good at managing time and staying on schedule A strong communicator who pays attention to details Comfortable using a smartphone and basic technology Calm and capable when unexpected situations arise Able to safely lift up to 40 lbs only when needed for pet care Available for some weekend and holiday visits (you do NOT need to be available all day every weekend or holiday) A licensed and insured driver with dependable transportation We'll teach you everything you need to know about our systems and how to handle those unexpected pet-sitting moments! What Does Your Availability Look Like? We have several different scheduling needs , so we're especially interested in people who can consistently cover one of these types of availability: Daytime +
Evening:
Some weekday morning and/or evening availability, plus some availability on a weekend day and holidays
Evenings:
Primarily weekday evening availability, plus at least one weekend day and some holidays
Weekend/Holiday:
Some regular weekend and holiday availability to help fill gaps in our schedule You don't need to be available all day. Even a few consistent hours during the times we need help can be very valuable. We're looking for people who want to become a reliable, long-term member of our team — specifically, we're hoping to find people ready to commit to at least one year with us. Pet parents count on us to be there for their pets, so reliability and consistency are incredibly important. This is a great fit for someone looking for an ongoing part-time position with real, regular availability. This is not an ideal first job for someone who is still gaining basic workplace experience or looking for an occasional side gig. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 20.0 per week
