Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our furry friends. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who have a passion for animals and want to make a positive impact in their lives.
Duties:
  • Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel
  • Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
  • Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
  • Monitor animal behavior and report any signs of illness or distress
  • Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
Skills:
  • Experience in handling animals, particularly dogs, is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic pet care and nutrition
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with pet owners and provide exceptional customer service
  • Basic understanding of veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus
