In this energetic role, you will provide exceptional care, handling, and support for a variety of pets, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Whether we are assisting with daily pet care routines, dog walking, farm care or being the "pet nanny", you'll be a vital part of creating a positive experience for pets and pet parents. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to turn your love for animals into a rewarding job while making a meaningful difference in their lives. We are a company here in Craven county looking to expand and find the right team members to grow with! Responsibilities Provides attentive pet care including feeding, administering medications, and maintaining cleanliness. Handle animals safely and confidently using proper techniques to ensure safety for pets of all ages, sizes, breeds and species. Assist with pet enrichment to promote good behavior and socialization skills. Extreme attention to details provided by pet parents. Conduct pet sitting duties for clients' pets, ensuring their needs are met in a professional manner. Driving to client homes on scheduled care routes at scheduled times. Walking high energy dogs outdoors in rain or shine. Must effectively and reliably communicate with pet parents and team members. Skills Confident animal handling skills across various species including dogs, cats, equines and exotics. Preferred experience in dog training and understanding canine behavior cues. Background in veterinary care or veterinary technician/assistant roles is highly valued but not required. Knowledge of dog breeds and animal species. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members! A safe driving history with reliable transportation. Passion for animals and pet care with an energetic, positive attitude!
