This is a part time cash pay position Applicant must live near worksite (Chappaqua) This is year round work, not seasonal, we are a full time working company Join our dynamic team as a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter, where your passion for animals and energetic personality will shine! In this role, you will provide exceptional care and companionship to pets of all breeds and sizes, ensuring their safety, happiness, and well-being. Whether walking energetic dogs through scenic neighborhoods or caring for pets during their owners' busy days or vacations, you'll make a positive impact on both animals and their families. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and develop meaningful bonds with furry friends every day. Responsibilities Take dogs on engaging walks, ensuring proper exercise and mental stimulation tailored to each pet's needs Provide reliable pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and maintaining routines Monitor pet behavior closely, recognizing signs of distress or illness and communicating with pet owners as needed Offer overnight in-home care to ensure pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away Maintain detailed records of pet activities, health observations, and special instructions for owners Communicate clearly with clients about pet progress, behavior updates, and any concerns that arise during care Skills Proven experience in dog handling and animal care with a strong understanding of animal behavior Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures or experience in veterinary assisting roles Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint methods; experience with veterinary technician or assistant work is a plus Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions; experience with outdoor work is preferred Excellent client communication skills to build trust and ensure pet owner satisfaction Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for pet supplies or equipment Familiarity with pet exercise routines, animal restraint techniques, and general pet care practices Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude towards animals and their families
Pay:
Up to $20.00 per hour
